Nicholas Reichenbach
Chairman
Nicholas Reichenbach is a visionary entrepreneur and sustainability advocate, renowned for his transformative leadership in the wellness beverage industry. As the Chairman and CEO of Flow Beverages, he has steered the company to global prominence, blending innovation with purpose-driven initiatives. Nicholas’s commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond business. Dr. Jesse Hanson
Clinical Director
Dr. Jesse Hanson is the clinical director for Ātman Resorts and Retreats. He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a specialization in somatic psychology and neuropsychology. He also possesses a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Santa Barbara Graduate Institute. In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Hanson has spent over 20 years training with various holistic and shamanic teachers, exploring the connection between mind and body and its impact on natural healing processes.
Currently, he also serves as a co-founder and clinical director of MentalHealth.com, the chief clinical officer of Dimensions Retreats, and the Interim Clinical Director at Ryzio Institute. He works as a Clinical Advisor at HOLOS. He also served four seasons as an interventionist on A&E’s documentary series Intervention. With a career centered on helping patients recover and better their lives, Dr. Hanson is committed to the mission of bridging modern neuroscience with ancient wisdom and rituals.
Antonio Troisi
Revenue Director
Antonio Troisi is a dedicated individual with a profound commitment to improving lives. As a parent of four, Antonio brings a nurturing spirit to both family and professional life. Since 2017, he has been making a significant impact in the mental health field, channeling his passion into owning multiple substance abuse treatment facilities. Prior to his endeavors in mental health, Antonio played a pivotal role as a personal trainer, contributing to the growth of the United States’ largest gym. This experience has shaped his ability to scale and shape successful ventures. Currently serving as the Founder and CEO of Treatment Addiction Solutions, Antonio has established a company dedicated to connecting individuals grappling with mental health and substance abuse issues to professionals nationwide. Beyond business, Antonio harbors a passion for developing individuals into their best selves, fostering personal growth and resilience. With a rich background in both physical and mental well-being, he continues to be a driving force in the pursuit of holistic health and the betterment of others.
Liz Theriault
Creative Director
Liz Theriault graduated from the University of Ottawa with a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution in 2007, a field that she practiced in for nearly a decade. After designing and developing several personal real estate projects from 2015-2017, she made the decision to leave the field of conflict resolution and launched her own company. Liz founded Lot Four Design in 2018 and then its sister company Lot Four Developments in 2019. Over the years, Liz has honed her design style, best described as earthy and organic, with a strong emphasis on raw and natural materials as well as her ability to oversee every aspect of the development process, from initial concept to final execution. Working closely with architects, builders, tradespeople, sourcing, and finance, Liz ensures that her designs are faithfully translated into stunning physical spaces. Her meticulous attention to detail elevates each space, ensuring a seamless blend of functionality and aesthetics.
Serge Theriault
Operations Director
Serge Theriault is a Cordon Bleu, classically trained French chef with extensive international experience in fine dining restaurants, catering, and luxury hotels. After spending a decade immersing himself in the vibrant culinary landscape of South East Asia, Chef Serge’s journey has not only enriched his palate but also deepened his understanding of the local cuisine and culinary traditions. Serge co-founded Nutrition Kitchen (NKT), an online meal catering company in Hong Kong, in 2017 which employs over 70 staff and has grown to over$25M USD in revenue per year. Serge’s diverse international background, his knack for managing staff in foreign countries, and his profound knowledge of nutrition, clean eating, and hospitality will be the driving influence behind Atman’s hospitality and culinary offerings.
Matthew Hoar
Finance Director
Matthew Hoar is a chartered professional accountant with 15+ years of diverse experience in the corporate world. He has held various positions and roles in multiple industries, including Tax Auditor at the CRA, Corporate Audit at Deloitte, and other finance roles in the manufacturing, commercial and residential real estate, and food and beverage industries. Having served on multiple Boards as a Director and an Advisor, Matt’s experience goes beyond accounting, having successfully built multiple health and wellness brands, as well as several real estate companies over his career. Matthew’s career has been marked by his entrepreneurial spirit and deal-making expertise. He has raised over $350M of private equity in his career and is a uniquely experienced CFO with an intimate understanding of what organizational leaders and entrepreneurs go through on a day-to-day basis.
Rebecca Nicholson
Executive Director of Wellness
Rebecca Nicholson has spent many years in the health and wellness industry as a practitioner, facilitator, CEO, investor and founder. She has extensive experience working with top international companies, CEOs and founders including Dimensions Retreats, Holos, Kuya, Othership and Beckley Retreats. She is dedicated to supporting company growth, business development, vision execution and a healthy corporate culture. She specializes in fostering strong partnerships, relationships and strategic operating plans.
Rebecca is a sought-after public speaker, panelist and moderator. As a bridge-builder, she connects diverse perspectives to drive positive change in transformative industries. As a founding member of ‘Celebrating Women in Psychedelics’, she exemplifies commitment to both advancing her field and promoting impact, ethics, diversity and opportunities for women.
Ross McKenzie
Facilitator
Ross McKenzie is an empathic facilitator and masterful mentor/coach. A former top-tier athlete with firsthand experience overcoming powerful psychotropic pharmaceutical medicine, he has become a storied spiritual trailblazer on a lifelong pilgrimage of self-discovery.
He is a skilled Relational Somatic Therapist Professional Life Coach and Mentor with an aptitude for guiding clients through the intimate process of consciously navigating the darkest nights of the soul.
Ross’ work is a distillation of twenty-five years of research and he has been a practicing professional in the mental health addiction field since 2015. His lifelong passion which started when he was 16 years of age is bio-hacking optimal health practices through the synergistic effects of a mind, body, and spirit root cause resolution approach to harmonic wellness.
He is honored to be a founding member and partner of Ātman Retreats and lives with his family of four in the southern zone of Costa Rica.
Megan Hanson
Facilitator
Megan Hanson holds a BS in special education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an MA in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has worked within the education and mental health fields for twenty years, serving at-risk and special populations. As a result of her journey and healing over the last seven years, her focus has expanded into offering holistic and somatic therapies within both the private and public sectors. She is a registered holistic hypnotherapist, trauma-informed yoga teacher, breathwork facilitator, and a reiki and sound healing practitioner. Megan is passionate about creating opportunities for healing and personal transformation that are accessible to all.
Demi Betschart
Facilitator
Demi Betschart is a seasoned practitioner and somatic coach with over a decade of dedication to the healing arts. With a profound journey spanning soul retrieval, rebirthing, and deep exploration of body awareness, yoga, meditation, and breathwork, she brings a wealth of experience to the realm of somatic healing. Over the past seven years, Demi delved into both clinically and traditionally rooted midwifery models at the National Midwifery Institute, adding a unique dimension to her understanding of the power of life, the holistic healing process, and the return to wholeness. Demi also incorporates Internal Family Systems, inner child healing, attachment theory, and various somatic approaches into her multifaceted approach to healing. This allows her to weave a tapestry of methodologies, creating a space where profound transformation meets compassionate guidance.
Dr. Jaime McLaughlin
Facilitator
Dr. Jaime McLaughlin Is a speaker, researcher, consultant, educator, ceremonial leader, trauma informed health coach, and physician. He has been in practice for 28 years working in the private sector as well as hospitals and clinics internationally.
Jamie holds degrees in Neurobiology and Psychology. He has Master’s degrees in Ethnobotany and Oriental Medicine. He was chosen to lead a post-graduate program in Neuro-Acupunture at Heiling Jiang University Hospital in Harbin, China. He is a certified Medical Qi Gong instructor. He currently holds diplomate status through the NCCAOM, as a nationally recognized herbalist and acupuncturist. He holds active medical licenses for the Commonwealth of Virginia board of medicine and is a licensed board certified Doctor of Oriental Medicine. He’s currently conducting a research study, in collaboration with a neurologist from Germany, examining brainwave and electrical changes, measured by EEG and functional MRIs, showing the affects of Neuro-acupuncture, meditation, and breathwork on the human brain.
Dr. Jamie has six years experience working with psychedelic assisted therapies and specializes in somatic release/trauma informed bodywork and coaching. His lifetime goal is to bridge science with indigenous medicine practices. He believes that bridging these practices will help human beings transcend the limits of their bodies, environments, and past experiences. He also believes that by opening awareness on the conscious and subconscious levels we enable powerful changes to occur on the emotional, mental, and physical levels in every way imaginable.
Darren Pottle
Apprentice
Darren Pottle brings over 25 years of expertise in human kinetics and structural bodywork to the team. Holding Bachelor’s degrees in both Human Kinetics and Education from the University of British Columbia, Darren’s approach melds evidence-based practices with a profound sensitivity to individual’s personal journeys. His background in Anatomy Trains Structural Integration (ATSI) enriches his understanding of the body’s interconnected systems, guiding participants toward holistic well-being.
In his practice, Darren emphasizes the integration of the body’s myofascial network into a comprehensive, yet simple approach that is not only deeply insightful but tailored to nurture the mind, body, and spirit. Darren’s extensive experience coaching professional athletes has honed his ability to understand and address the unique physiological and psychological states of his clients, making him a deeply empathetic and effective facilitator of the healing journey for all.
Sheida Livai
Digital Marketing
As a somatic practitioner and communications specialist with over a decade of experience in hospitality and digital media, Sheida brings a unique blend of knowledge and skills to the Ātman team. Her dynamic role at Nectara, a psychedelic preparation and integration startup, involved leading brand development, strategic partnerships, wellness programming, and learning how to build and engage a tight-knit psychedelic community. Sheida’s in-depth training as a trauma-informed somatic facilitator combined with her experience in guiding journeys of non-ordinary states has equipped her with a robust set of tools for supporting people on a path of self-discovery and personal growth. Her dedication to fostering cultural change has fuelled her psychedelic education and advocacy efforts where she produced pivotal content with key organizations like the Psychedelic Association of Canada and the Global Psychedelic Society.
Sheida’s passion for transformational experiences has led her to the Ātman team where she continues to drive innovative approaches to holistic wellness.
Moisés Torres Figueroa
Liaison
Moisés’s paternal great-grandfather, from the lineage of the shamans bearing the Torres Reyes name, was a renowned healer with expertise in curing snake bites. Their family has always played a significant role in the community, with Moisés’s paternal great-grandfather on their grandmother’s side being a major leader of the Boruca people.
Moisés’s mission is to foster harmony and raise awareness about the importance of caring for both natural and spiritual resources. Through this, they hope to inspire others to live in greater harmony with Mother Earth.
